Dear Instructors
My name is Sean Coffman, and I am the new Territory Service Delivery Manager for Health and Safety in the State of Wyoming. I'm excited by the opportunities presented in Wyoming, and am sincerely looking forward to working and meeting with each of you as we work to deliver the various Red Cross products across the state.
As an instructor of the Red Cross, you help us train more than 10 million people annually in lifesaving skills. You are an incredibly important part of the American Red Cross mission. As such, I'm pleased to share with you some new resources that we are making available to instructors to make your job easier:
NEW Customer service call center: 1-800-Red Cross
Insturctors can now call 1-800-Red-Cross (Option 3) to set up training class within the Learning Management Center (SABA), submit training records, order training supplies or equipment, or dicuss any questions or concerns.
The Customer Service call center is open from 7am to 9pm ET, Monday through Friday, 7:30 to 6pm ET on Saturdays, and 10am to 4pm ET on Sundays.
You can, of course, continue to purchase training supplies online at www.instructorscorner.org or www.shopstaywell.com.
On-Line Course Record Submission
The new Red Cross Learning Management System, SABA, now allows you to manage your teaching certificates and course records online. Immediately after the completion of your course, you will now be able to enter the pertinate course information, class roster, and submitt payment all at one time. Beginning February 1, 2012, all course records in Wyoming will be processed in this way.
Dedicated instructor website
Our dedicated instructor website, www.instructorscorner.org, has been fully redesigned to allow easier access to program information including free digital downloadable course materials and the ability to purchase printed materials. Through this website you can also access our Red Cross LMS system SABA, where instructors can submit electronic course record information and print certificates for course participant.
NEW Invoicing Policy
I also want to make you aware fo the new National invoicing policy for Health and Safety programs implimented on September 15, 2011. The new policy allows invoicnig of $500 and above. The American Red Cross realized that there are times when fees will be lower than the $500 requirement. For these instances we will accpte payment via credit card, check or cash at the time of the course submission.
If you have any questions about this new policy, please call 208-855-4932. We value you as a client / partner of the American Red Cross, and understand that we may need to work together to find a suitable solution.
Our goal is to continue to provide the best training and outstanding value, while providing essential services to the community.
We hope you will enjoy these service enhancements. I also want to take this opportunity to thank you for the work you do to train people in life-saving skills. The Red Cross, through the support of volunteers, donors, and instructors life yourself, trains millions of people, responds to 70,000 local disasters a year, ensures blood is avilable for patients in need, and provides emergency communications and support to military members and their families. Thank you for your support!
If you have any questions about the new processes, please feel free to contact me directly via any of the methods listed below. I'd be happy to walk you through the new system, and address any concerns you may have.
Sincerely,
s
Sean Coffman
