Red Cross Volunteers   

     The American Red Cross depends on volunteers to accomplish the organization's mission: providing relief to victims of disasters and helping people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. American Red Cross volunteers are professionally and thoroughly trained to help you with your disaster and health & safety needs.

The Volunteer Process

Required

• Please contact your local branch office for specific volunteer opportunties. 
• You can fill out the following paperwork and email or mail it to your local branch office:
• DSHR Application       Health Status Record      Enrollment Sheet     Statement of Understanding
• Complete an official Red Cross background check.  This site is secure, and used nationwide for all American Red Cross background checks. All volunteers must submit a background check in order to volunteer for the Red Cross.
• Free, local training provided to suit your schedule once you are a volunteer.
